In Afghanistan no single woman is listed (anymore) as potential member of the cabinet of president Ashraf Ghani, despite his campaign pledge in 2014 of assigning at least four women to the government. Ghani was elected as the successor of President Hamid Karsai on 21st September 2014, not least because of the support of many women in the country.
