At the 29th Session of the Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Raad Al Hussein presented a report calling for the decriminalisation of homosexuality. While progress has been made since the first UN-Report on LGBT rights in 2011, violence and discrimination based on gender and sexual identity remain globally virulent.
