Claire Mahonsi has been active in the South African and regional women's sector for almost a decade. In that time, she has been instrumental in leading civil society engagement on the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development, and in devising programmes to empower young women in political parties. Her interest and expertise lie in policy formation, advocacy, governance and violence against women. Claire has also worked on women's networks, institutional transformation and regional integration.
