Ava Homa

Ava Homa is the author of Daughters of Smoke and Fire (2020). The novel tells fifty years of modern Kurdish history. Homa is an activist and journalist with an MA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Windsor in Canada. Her short story collection on modern Iranian women, Echoes from the Other Land (2010), was nominated for the Frank O'Connor International Prize.
