Hanne Marlene Dahl is a professor at Roskilde University at the Dept. for Society and Globalization. Her main research interests are in the governance of care, the relationship between the state and care professions in an era of Europeanization, globalization and neo-liberalism, and especially seen from a gender perspective. Lately she has been particularly interested in issues of recognition and misrecognition of caregiving work. She has been part of a European research project on innovative reforms within care and welfare (INNOSERV founded by the EU under the 7^th framework programme) and is currently part of a Nordic project on marketization (NorMaCare). She has co-edited two books for international audiences ‘Dilemmas of Care’ (Ashgate, 2005) and ‘Europeanization, Care and Gender’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011) as well as published extensively in international journals.
